I would love to afford to buy every book I wanted to read. That is why I use my Library.

I can find novels, art books, books on other religion or civilizations.

My Library

I have broken my ankle, and I read a lot. I have to stay in bed for most of the day, and my husband has been kind enough to go to the Library and get me some books to read.

It doesn’t cost anything to join. The people at the front desk, look up the book I want to read, and go an get it for me.

If I just want to browse, because I only have the use of one eye, a Librarian will take me to the section I want to look at.

Besides books, my Library has audio-books, magazines, foreign newspapers and Videos of older movies.

I like to go to the children’s area, and watch them being read to, or see them learning about animals in the petting Zoo.

If they don’t have the book you want to read, they will order it for you.

If they have the book, but all the copies are out, they will reserve it for you, and call you when it has been returned.

Why Should You Read?

Reading is important for you to learn new things. The opposite of love is not hate, it’s fear. If you learn about a new religion or culture, you might not fear/hate them so much. It’s a first step to have a peaceful World.

Children can be taught to read very young, one of mine learned when she was three years old. Young children’s minds are like sponges and the absorb everything faster than an old child does.

The Library Buses

In Canada we have Library Buses that go out, once a week, to school, in small towns, that can’t afford a Library of their own.

I believe every child should have a chance to read.

What Should You Do?

If you and your children don’t belong to a Library, put your coat on right now, and go to the closest one to your house.
